Keyboard shortcuts

The task board can be operated from the keyboard. A shortcut performs the same action as the corresponding interface element — subject to role rights and the status model: if an action is unavailable, the key press does nothing and no request is sent to the server.

How it works

  • Layout-independent. Keys are matched by their physical position on the keyboard, so the shortcuts work the same in Russian and English layouts.
  • Input fields. While the focus is in an input, a text area or a description/comment editor, single action keys do not fire — the character is simply typed. Exceptions that work in fields too: Esc, Ctrl+Enter and the arrows in the search box.
  • Context. The same key can do different things depending on what is open (board, table, card, search box). The top-most context wins; if it has no binding, the global key applies.
  • Sequences. Some actions are triggered by two presses in a row (prefix + key), for example V then B. If you don't press the second key in time or press Esc, the waiting mode is reset.
  • Ctrl+F is not intercepted — the browser's own search works.

Work outside input fields.

Task navigation

Selection moves only over the tasks actually displayed (respecting filters and search). Moving the selection between columns does not change the status of the task.

KeyAction
↑ / ↓On the board — cards within a column; in the table — rows
← / →On the board — between columns (nearest position)
EnterOpen the selected task
EscClear the selection
💡

In the table, when the last loaded row is reached, pressing ↓ loads the next batch and moves the selection to the first new row.

Task priority

The sequence P then a digit for the selected or opened task:

KeyPriority
P then 0Clear priority
P then 1Low
P then 2Medium
P then 3High

A digit outside the 0–3 range does not change the priority and resets the selection mode.

Opened task card

Work when the card is open and the focus is outside input fields (unless stated otherwise).
